Police said on Saturday (May 3, 2025) that a Maoist was killed while meeting security personnel in the Chhattisgarh's Gariaband area.
An official said the gunfight took place in a forest within the Jugard Police Department on the evening of Friday (May 2, 2025) and a team of security personnel were conducting anti-Mossist operations.
He said the bodies of Maoists and guns were recovered from the scene after the fire stopped.
The official said a search operation was underway in the area.
