What promise did Mark Carney make?
The economy is the focus of this election in Canada, which happened after Justin Trudeau announced his resignation as prime minister.
Asked about affordability in the leaders’ English debate, Mark Carney replied: “The biggest risk we have to take, and the biggest risk we have to do with this economy is Donald Trump.”
Speaking of a rally, Carney warned: “We are facing the biggest crisis of our lives. Donald Trump is trying to fundamentally change the world economy, the trading system, but in reality he is working to break us so that the United States can own us. They want our land, they want our land, they want our resources, they want our water, they want our country.” Speaking of his experience, he added: “I’m ready, over the years, I’ve dealt with the crisis… We’ll fight back with the counter tariffs, and we’ll protect our workers.” Mark Carney assured that Nova Scotia industry will continue to continue in the context of ongoing political tensions with the United States. “We are building this big power because we can control our future,” Carney said at a campaign stop on Monday. “It doesn’t matter, Trump’s tweets can build millions of homes with Canadian technology, Canadian workers and Nova Scotia timber.”Please read also: “You guys sound like…”: In deportation
He also promised temporary support to help retirees deal with U.S. tariffs that are punishing global markets. Carney guarantees he will reduce the minimum amount that must be withdrawn from the registered retirement income fund by 25%.
“When the market fluctuates, older people don’t have to withdraw from their hard savings because they will continue until this trade war is sorted out,” CBS said.
He also brought the election campaign to Quebec last week, saying that only he can protect the French-speaking province from Trump.
“This threat is not only an economic threat, but an existential threat. To be clear, President Trump is threatening the unique identity of the Quebecs,” Carney said during a campaign in Troyce Reeves.

“We will be able to protect Quebec, protect our sovereignty and build a strong Canada … If you want a strong government to defend Quebec and support Donald Trump, you have to vote for that.”
What should I do if the Liberals win?
A three-day nanopoll released on Tuesday has given the Liberals a national public support of 42.6% and the Conservatives 37.1%. Left-leaning New Democrats lag behind 10.4% in the scramble for the Liberals.
Such a result on Election Day would leave liberals in most of the 343 seats in the House of Commons. A nano-poll survey of 1,308 people was conducted from April 19 to 21, which was considered accurate to within 2.7 percentage points and 20 times within 20 percentage points.

“Canada is the best country in the world. Our sovereignty is under threat. The unreasonable trade war in the United States is an attempt to weaken us. We will not let this happen. It is time to build a strong future for Canada. We can provide us with an ever-growing international economy that can make us work harder when we are united.” (Sic)
The party also promised to protect Canada’s sovereignty as Trump has repeatedly called on the country to become the 51st state in the United States. “The world is becoming increasingly dangerous and divided.
