Mass killing of visitors near Pahalgam: Bloodbath in J&K’s “Mini Resident”

According to the ministry, the Union’s interior minister Amit Shah briefed Prime Minister Narendra Modi and went to Srinagar where he would visit Pahalgam.
Shortly after the attack, Shah held an emergency meeting in New Delhi and said those involved in such “terrorist acts” would not be spared. “Disturbed by the terrorist attacks on tourists from Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. My idea is to be with family members of the deceased. Those involved in this terrorist act will not be spared and we will suffer the most severe consequences on X,” he wrote on X. ”
Shah said he introduced the incident to Modi and held a meeting with officials via video conference.
Sources from the Ministry of Home Affairs said the NIA will hand over the investigation into the case. Teams of NIA and other central agencies are evaluating the situation on site.
Officials recall similar massacres that took place in J&K’s Chattisinghpora in March 2000. At that time, more than 35 Sikhs were killed by masked gunmen in the army’s fatigue. Senior officials recalled that the murder occurred before then-U.S. President Clinton’s visit to India and his meeting with the then-NDA PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee. According to investigators, Lashkar-e-Taiba is said to be behind the killing. However, Indian troops shot and killed five Kashmir militants in a fake encounter and were later armed. At that time, the current NSA Ajit Doval held a top position in the Intelligence Agency.
