Matter Motor Works, an electric motorisation startup, has launched Aera’s geared electric motorcycle in Bangalore.
The company said the e-bike was “a dedicated build for Indian riders and fine-tuned for cities like Bangalore.”
“There is no better city to lead this journey than Bangalore, and innovation in Bangalore is not just an idea, but a way of life,” said Mohal Lalbhai, founder and group CEO of Matter.
The company said AERA is backed by an in-house developed Hypershift manual transmission, a 4-speed manual in the EV and paired with 3 riding modes: Eco, City and Sport, offering 12 unique ride combinations.
The bike also has a liquid-cooled powertrain and has advanced liquid cooling on both the motor and the battery pack for increased efficiency under hot and high flow conditions. According to the company’s release, its 5KWH battery provides a range of 172 kilometers per charge.
