Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Agency (HYDAA) Commissioner AV Ranganath inspected the cemetery near the Machha Bolarum area of Alwal Mandal on Tuesday (8 April 2025) to inspect the so-called encroachment of solid waste concessions.
Hydraa received a complaint from the Joint Action Committee of the Machha Bolarum Resident Welfare Association that the cemetery was occupied by Resustability Limited (formerly Ramky Environ Engimers Limited), which manages nearby transfer stations. Parliamentarian Eatala Rajender, MLA Rajashekhar Reddy and former lawmaker Mynampalli Hanumanth Rao have also made the same complaints since, D. Minister Sridhar Babu issued instructions to GHMC Commissioners K. Ilambarithi and Mr. Ranganath to conduct the inspection.
Mr Ranganath observed that the company was allocated two acres to accommodate the transfer station, but it occupied about five acres and even carried out construction on the above-mentioned land.
The cemetery was allocated 15 acres and the garbage from the transfer station swept. In addition, the structure is raised at the site without permission.
Mr. Ranganath has issued instructions to the franchisees to immediately cease construction and assured the local residents that he would submit a notice to the government for objection to the transit station.
