Cleaning up the UPSC Business Exam (CSE) is a dream for millions of people – but few achieve this milestone with hard work, resilience and passion. One such name is Ravi Raj, a young aspiring man from the Nawada region of Bihar who won the All India Ranking (AIR) 182 in the UPSC 2024 exam.

Who is Ravi Raj?
Ravi Raj is a native of Nawada in Bihar. His father, Ranjan Kumar Sinha, was a farmer, and Mother Vibha Sinha was a housewife. Graduated from Sitaram Sahu College in Nawada; Ravi held elementary school at Dayal Public School and graduated from Sitaram Sahu College in Nawada.
In 2023, Ravi cracked the first time with the BPSC exam of the 490 level and secured the position of an income official. However, he decided to prepare for UPSC with renewed vitality. It was his mother, Vibha Sinha, who became his mentoring lights, reading text aloud, transcribing his spoken answers, and even a YouTube speech to help him prepare for competitive exams – all with managing the chores.
Despite physical and emotional difficulties, the mother-son duo refused to give up. When Ravi cleared the UPSC in his first attempt, their collective effort and enthusiasm made the fruit win 182.
