Sudhanshu Vats will lead Pidilite Industries Ltd, a company known for its brands Fevicol and M-Seal, serving as managing director. Pidilite’s board of directors has approved the appointment of Vats as MD. The company will take effect from April 10. Puri will serve as a non-executive and non-independent director of the company’s board of directors for a term of three years, starting from April 10 to April 9, 2028.
Who is Sudhanshu vat?
Sudhanshu Vats was appointed as the MD designation of Pidilite, a leading manufacturer of adhesive and construction chemistry. Currently, Pidilite Industries has a market capitalization of Rs 1.47 crore. The company’s share price closed at Rs 2,903 on Friday.
Prior to joining Pidilite, he was MD and CEO of EPL Limited (formerly Essel Propack Limited). Vats are an alumni of Iim-Ahmedabad and Nit Kurukshetra, with outstanding careers. He is also a MD and CEO of Viacom18 Media Private Limited. Vats began his professional journey as a management cadet at Hindustan Leverage (now Hindustan Unilever) in 1991. He spent about 20 years in various sales, marketing and general management leadership positions.
He has served as Chairman of the CII National Media and Entertainment Committee, Vice President of the Broadcasting Foundation and Director of the Broadcasting Audience Research Committee. He is the Global Advisory Board of Columbia University in New York. He is also on the advisory boards of many NGOs.
