As the Council will discuss on April 19, political heat is evident in the large Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC).
With the political conspiracy center of civic institutions, Chang is at a high level among companies, and many remain silent in their next move.
Even as political drama becomes increasingly uncertain, leaders from all sides plan to plan their strategies at key meetings, and are undertaking intense deliberation behind the scenes.
The YSRCP, led by regional president Gudivada Amarnath, has taken decisive actions through the election boycott meeting. The party has issued a whip to the partners, not to attend the meeting, and has also warned people of disciplinary action against those who violated the order.
The NDA, composed of the Telugu DESAM Party (TDP), the Jana Sena Party (JSP) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), is very optimistic about the move to win no trust. Its company says they have obtained Magic Characters-74, which is necessary to win a trustless motion.
There are 97 collaborators in GVMC, 98 wards, and 14 Ex Officio members.
Until a few days ago, NDA was reportedly supported by 72 companies – 48 TDP, 11 JSPs, and two BJPs, except for 11 Ex Officio members. YSRCP claims to be supported by 34 corporate owners and 3 former members. Two companies of CPI and CPI (M) have announced their decision to boycott the meeting.
As three YSRCP companies recently joined JSP and together with former member Behara Bhaskar Rao, the NDA reportedly reached 76.
In addition, YSRCP Company (District 6) Muttamsetti Priyanka submitted his resignation to Party Chairman YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. Not sure if she will participate in the motion of distrust. Her father and former minister Muttamsetti Srinivasa Rao quit the party a few months ago.
Meanwhile, most companies sent abroad by various parties have returned to the city, and some of them will arrive tonight. When YSRCP sent its company to Sri Lanka, TDP moved its company to Malaysia.
Regional collector and GVMC specialist MN Harendhira Prasad reviews the schedule for the meeting to begin at 11 a.m.
