Caste census report: Everyone’s eyes are on special cabinet meetings

As major communities fight it in search of thawing to implement a socio-economic and educational survey conducted by the backward class committee of Karnataka, the highly anticipated special cabinet meeting will determine the fate of the investigation on Thursday.

The meeting was a position between political leaders who opposed the report and community leaders belonging to Vokkaligas and Veerashaiva-Ligingayats, who called the report “science.”

Speculation was made about the possibility of establishing a cabinet subcommittee to comprehensively study the reports and recommend measures to be taken.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah told Kalaburagi’s Presspersons that he would not allow any community injustice and would make a decision at a cabinet meeting on Thursday. In response to a statement from Channagiri legislator Shivaganga Basavaraj urged Lingyad legislators to resign in protest, the chief minister said the lawmakers had commented and the cabinet would make a decision on this issue.

Elected representatives from Walker Kaliga community and elected representatives from Congress who live in the place of residence on Tuesday discussed the nature of the response of the Cabinet Community Minister.

Although part of it wants to object to the entire report, another part suggests that since the investigation was conducted through government machinery during the Congressional administration, it cannot be completely rejected. The discussion revolves around accepting socioeconomic status reports while presenting population data, adding that large population counts could be sought.

Meanwhile, Akhila Bharata Veerashaiva Mahasabha decided to meet with his community legislators and ministers after the special cabinet meeting. The cathedral also seeks legal advice on the report from retired judges who have already made their comments.

The Moabban source said a meeting of community lawmakers and a meeting with Rajya Vokkaliga Sangha will be held after the cabinet meeting due to logistical issues and protests against price increases by Congress. “However, we are in informal discussions with the Vokkaligara Sangha representative,” the source said.
