Daksh Arora won No. 1 in the 2025 JEE Main exam
The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is one of the most challenging entrance exams in India and the world, and is the gateway to the prestigious Institute of Technology of India (IIT). Every year, thousands of students take this rigorous exam, which includes two stages: Jee Main and Jee Advanced. Among the aspirants this year, Daksh Arora, a resident of Mukherjee Nagar, became a beacon of inspiration by taking the No. 1 spot in JEE Main 2025. Daksh's passion for mathematics and logical reasoning sparked a ignition in Grade X. He is a self-motivated learner who has accepted the challenges of JEE preparation early on, laying a solid foundation for his future success.
In an interview with ET Now, Daksh emphasized the importance of mastering the core concepts, especially for Jee Advanced. “I focus on mastering the core concepts and practicing advanced issues from key topics. Regular revisions and quick clearance of doubt are fundamental strategies for me,” he said. Daksh's success is attributed to solving mock tests and previous years' problem papers (PYQS). According to him, “Mock tests and practice papers play a big role in my preparation. They helped me understand the test patterns, manage time and improve speed and accuracy. After each test, I carefully analyzed my mistakes and worked hard in weak areas to avoid repeating them.” By scheduling my time during practice, Dakesh enhanced his ability to balance speed and accuracy. This consistent effort allowed him to feel confident and prepared for the actual exam.
Daksh also shared the following suggestions for Jee aspiring people:
- Solve mock tests regularly: They help evaluate your preparation and improve your exam skills.
- Practical PYQ: These provide insights into exam patterns and important topics.
- Consistency is key: adhere to the regular learning schedule and make thorough revisions.
- Analyze Errors: Learn from errors to strengthen weak areas and avoid duplication of these areas.
Daksh's dream is to join IIT Delhi, with computer science or mathematics and computing as his preferred branch. “Delhi IIT is known for its outstanding teachers, resources and learning environment. Learning there will help me grow and open up great career opportunities,” he said.
