Leaders noted that in most educational institutions, the barriers to campus politics prevented the vast majority of students from participating in democratic activities during their growing years.
“The nature of the educational system and structural changes has adversely affected students’ awareness. We have been discussing how these students are reaching these students. Over the past few years, young people have also faced the difficult reality of the day. In the past few years, young people have encountered problems with hundreds of thousands of people on the streets in the difficult reality of the north. We are considering participating with them in the social and cultural fields and using social media platforms to participate widely,” the leader said.
As of 2024, CPI(M) has 10,19,009 members, with more than 50% (564,000) of members in Kerala.
As part of revamping the party organization “to effectively take on the growth and spread of the Hindutva ideation,” the CPI(M), it is learnt, will ask its cadres to engage with the people in cultural and religious forums while in States such as West Bengal and Tripura where the party has considered weakened, the effort will be to activate the party branch committees, the basic unit of the CPI(M), as geneuine forums to connect to The different part. “Repairs start at the lowest rung and move upward,” one leader said.
It is realized that the party’s understanding of social and economic changes in various parts will likely be relevant to contemporary reality. Therefore, it will require extensive research from state units to understand these parts so that they can be addressed more effectively.
