A giant student meeting was held in Perinthalmanna on Sunday (May 11, 2025), highlighting the need to raise state education standards to match global benchmarks. The meeting noted that raising state standards may reduce outflows of students seeking education abroad.
The meeting expressed concern that deleting medieval Indian history from textbooks would be detrimental to the country’s heritage and identity. “This is an anti-national act,” the meeting pointed out.
The meeting highlighted the importance of incorporating ethical education into the curriculum to address the modern challenges facing campuses.
