Let us improve politics…OPP. Must look for resurrection in it: Ashwani Kumar

With the second part of the budget meeting, senior council members, former Union law minister and public intellectuals Ashwani Kumarused to speak in the Congress party Ashhhar Khan Regarding the policies and opposition agenda of the current government:

Q: You used to be a senior councillor and often say that all governments have different records. But your front side finds that everything the government does is wrong. What do you think?

Indeed, we cannot give perfect scores to either party in office. Success and failure are part of governance. For example, I believe that the Narendra Modi government has done a good job in foreign policy. The government responded positively to challenging events in a context of dramatic changing geopolitical context, based on the established foreign policy objectives that promote national strategic interests. Prime Minister Modi has made significant investments in building personal relationships with world leaders, which has helped. Japan is a special example. We have a learned Foreign Minister who is respected for his diplomatic skills. During these turbulent times, the achievements of the government are no easy task, and can cleverly browse our special relationships in our special relationship with Russia without alienating the United States and maintaining a balance in our strategic ties with Israel without undermining our belief in the fair negotiated peace process in Gaza and Ukraine.

Although his destructive moves require a subtle response, we have already made a commission to Donald Trump, which is unfair. The publicity with Mauritius was timely and India’s position in Chagos was confirmed. However, Bangladesh and Nepal pose challenges. India will need to pay attention to the Chinese tendency in hostile communities.

Q: What are the socio-political challenges facing the country currently facing?

Well, the ultimate assurance of national security lies in its internal cohesion, as social, ethnic and public discord are weakening across the country. The “other” of minorities carries seeds of social disharmony that are insufficient for our country. The emerging challenges of central national conflict and state muscle responses to opposition are challenges to Indian democracy. While the distribution of the ruling is expected to reach the opposition based on attitudes of mutual respect and tolerance, the opposition must also recognize the futility of compulsive criticism of the government and the Prime Minister, which proves counterproductive. Likewise, the responsibility for losing elections cannot be transferred to the EVM routinely, especially when there is no problem where the opposition wins. Rather than blaming every PM of disease, the opposition seems to be time to look inward. Leaders’ obsession, incompetence and vanity make leaders short, with few exceptions.

Q: Talking about your old party…Why can’t Congress resurrect itself?

Rahul Gandhi means a good point, but obviously, leadership is much more than pious intentions. He is to identify what it takes to rebuild people who are alienated from the party and to draw the national leadership role. Leaders speaking from moral high grounds conducted a careful review of politics. Democracy is about an ideological competition with dignity, those that argue that it must also be practiced. We need thought leaders at the opposition level rather than cheerleaders. Grand old political parties must respect their cadres. Listen to their dissatisfaction and resolve injustice, rather than threaten serious dissidents through disciplinary action. In the absence of dignity and respect for workers and leaders’ investments, and seen as a functioning of true democracy without falling into a quick solution, Congress will not be able to bear its burden.

Q: How do you view the prospects of Congress in Punjab and the future of the Indian group?

Congress can gain some real collective leadership in Punjab and recognize that with the advent of AAP it is the fourth political force in the state, which will not be as political as usual. The BJP will increase its presence and turnout in Punjab in 2027, with the rise of the prime minister becoming a major national leader, and despite the current troubles, Akali dal cannot be completely rejected.

Unnatural and impossible political alliances have proven to be futile so far. In fact, it is unfair to expect a space for political parties to sacrifice their peer travelers. This is the truth and essence of politics. The elevation of politics, bound by selfless people and the idea of a democratic India, is for respecting human rights, freedom and justice for all, an urgent need of our time. To this end, collective inspiring leadership and overhaul of the electoral system are needed, which is not a monetary and muscle impact and is based on the active participation of informed citizens.

Q: Now, what else is the opposition party, especially the Indian group?

People are always looking for better options. At present, the opposition is not considered to offer one. The country’s intellectuals and thinkers must come out of their comfort zone, providing a refreshing direction for the politics of the country, where there is no place for fear, suffering and insult.
