Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum said she hopes to avoid slapping reciprocity tariffs on the United States after Trump’s extensive tariff plan, although it remains an option. Mexico is not directed, but it still faces our levy on steel, aluminum and cars. Sheinbaum stressed the continued negotiations, warning that tariffs could hurt Mexican consumers due to trade deficits.
