Miss World 2025 contestants will visit Pochamp on May 15

On May 15, participants from the 2025 Miss World 2025 beauty pageant will visit the Pochampally village in the Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district.
The event aims to highlight the globally acclaimed Ikat tradition, providing an immersive experience for India’s best textile heritage. Pochampally is known for its unique IKAT weaving technology and has been recently respected by UNESCO as the “best tourist village in the world”.
During the visit, Miss World contestants will witness the tie and D Ye process that defines ikat. They will also interact with local weavers and observe the production of teleia Long language, a rare double IKAT textile that Hyderabadian Zamus once wore.
