Police said CRPF Jawan, who has been missing since May 16, was found hanging from a tree in the Bolangir district of Odisha on Sunday. A senior official said the deceased was identified as Ganeshram Bhoi, a resident of the village of Gas within the area of the Lalamba Police Department in the area.
According to Bhoi’s family, CRPF Jawan came to his village on vacation and he disappeared on Friday. Some villagers found Bhoi hanging from a tree in an isolated place and informed the local police station, the official said.
He said a police team arrived at the scene and began an investigation into his death, adding that the forensic team was also sent there. He added that the cause of death of CRPF personnel has not been determined.
