MLA helps Gulf immigrants return safely

Nizamabad: Maggidi Balkishan, a 38-year-old Gulf migrant worker, safely returned to his hometown of Chintaluru village in Jakranpally Mandal after suffering severe health problems in Saudi Arabia. BJP Armoor MLA Payi Rakesh Reddy’s efforts have paid off his safe reward, thus easing his anxious family.
Balkhi went to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to find a livelihood and worked as a driver. In January, he suffered severe brain and neurological problems after his employer’s residence collapsed. The employer immediately took him to a hospital in Riyadh and provided expensive treatment, thus saving his life.
Due to his health and financial constraints, Balkhi Mountain was unable to return home for months. His family is close to Rakesh Reddy, who intervenes in Riyadh through coordination with the Indian Embassy. Telangana NRI Forum, social workers, his employers and embassy officials played a crucial role in ensuring his safe repatriation.
Rakesh Reddy said in a speech to the Deccan Chronicle: “This family is under tremendous pressure on his safety. We coordinated with the Indian Embassy and the Telugu community to bring him home. The families of many Bay Immigrant workers regularly turn to me for help in a safe return.”
