Mobile network security in state

Directors of TGCSB Shikha Goel signed a memorandum of understanding in Hyderabad on Thursday.
The Telangana Cybersecurity Agency (TGCSB) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on Thursday to enhance threat detection tools and responsiveness. The deal brings together global technology and cyber defense partners.
Under the terms of the agreement, Google will deploy Google Secops, a cloud-based security operations center (SOC) platform, through Google Cloud India Private Limited’s authorized implementation partner Ilois Digital. The state does not need to fund the initiative.
The SECOPS platform will use real-time network data and advanced analytics to mark and resolve malicious cyber incidents, providing 24/7 threat monitoring and response.
Data security company Arete IR LLP will provide endpoint detection and response (EDR) services, including Sentinelone EDR solutions, to police IT infrastructure. EDR solutions are expected to significantly improve endpoint-level security by providing continuous monitoring, detection and incident response services.
“This is a step to proactively identifying and neutralizing malicious security threats and to enhance the cyber defense capabilities of Telangana police,” said director TGCSB Shikha Goel, in the signing of the memorandum of understanding.
The partnership will operate within three years and also includes provisions for training police personnel to manage and respond to cybersecurity threats. Key interest holders from the public and private sectors participated in the signing of the transaction.
