The benefits of Human Resources Minister Lokesh Pats inter exam to “maintain the dignity of public education”

Andhra Pradesh HRD Minister Nara Lokesh on Tuesday praised the state-level top hat of the government junior college in the intermediate public exams to uphold the dignity of public education”.

The minister said to 52 students who came out of government junior high school and their parents in Undavalli’s “Shining Stars-2025” program, “Everyone broke the stereotype that students at government colleges cannot get high scores.”

Young Achievements won gold medals and talented laptops at the event.

Mr Lokesh said the government is keen to upgrade public schools and universities so that students they can learn there compete with their peers in private institutions. “The government is trying to ensure that poverty does not become a barrier to education,” he said.

He noted that the reintroduction of the lunch meal program at government colleges and universities is intended to encourage students from economically backward segments to continue their education.

Mr. Lokesh shared his story, and although he was interesting in his initial student days, he took the tenth exam seriously, worked hard at the intermediate level, started his MBA program at Stanford, and worked at the World Bank.

The minister noted that the number of girls exceeded that of top boys and said: “In research and business, Brahmini (his wife) is better than me”.

He said the government will support students through reimbursement and alternatives to study abroad.

Mr. Lokesh said students should not forget the sacrifices of their parents seeing them succeed in their lives.

After intermediate, he said, students should choose a field of interest. “This is not the only career path. Students have multiple options. Today, the government has approved a solar cell manufacturing company. Solar power plants are in Nellore and Anakapalli. Reliance Company has set up a compressed biogas plant in Kanigiri. Choose industries that match the time changes,” he said.

Mr Lokesh said public schools and colleges will develop further and the government is taking the advice that uniforms should be provided to intermediate students.

The Human Resources Minister said that students should not become job seekers, but rather become job creation opportunities. “No matter how high your rise is, always stay rooted. Congratulations on your achievements, I’m very proud of you.”
