Modi visits Indian factory during his trip to Jeddah

Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman will receive Modi in Jeddah. The two leaders will co-chair the second meeting of the Strategic Partnership Committee.
Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri briefed reporters here on Saturday that recent defense practices and employee-level talks between the two armed forces were to demonstrate deepening defense relations.
“Our cooperation has also expanded the defense industry front, India’s space as a key supplier of defense stores to Saudi Arabia,” Misri told the Media.
Misri added: “This visit is also likely to see the conclusions of several Moors between the two sides – some of which are in the final stage of approval and the final stage of deliberation, and during the visit we will have more details to release.”
Key strategic issues, such as Yemen-based Houthi militia attacks on transport, the ongoing Israel-Palestine conflict could also play a role in negotiations, and Saudi Arabia-chaired US-Russian conversations and regional development will also be held on the agenda. Misri informed that PM Modi will further strengthen the energy partnership during her visit to the Kingdom. Modi is also expected to visit a factory that employs Indian workers in Saudi Arabia. The country has about 2.7 million Indians.
