Hyderabad:A woman allegedly drowned her six-year-old daughter and committed suicide in Narapally Lake, allegedly harassing her husband on Wednesday due to ongoing harassment. The other two children, one 13 years old and the other 11 years old, survived.
Investigation officer Shiva Kumar identified his mother as 34-year-old L. Sujatha. Nagaraju has been harassed Sujatha recently, accusing her of having an illegal relationship. Despite the elders’ consultations on several occasions, harassment has been reportedly continuing.
On May 14, the family stepped in again and warned Nagaraju not to repeat his behavior. The murder and suicide occurred at around 3.30 p.m. Friday. The locals who noticed this attempt managed to rescue the two children and handed them over to the Ghatkesar Government Hospital, which later moved to the Gandhi Hospital. Suhasha and her youngest daughter drowned.
