More than 20 women injured after vans in Ranipet flipped

More than 20 women were injured Thursday after they overturned a van on Ponnai Koot Road in Manthangal Village, near Ranipet.

According to police, a group of female workers in the villages around Katpadi in Vellore hired a private van to transport a group of private vans every day.

Typically, 50-year-old Van driver K. Mahendran (a resident of the village of Tiruwaram) takes over at Katpadi. As he drove on Ponnai Koot Road, he lost control and drove the van out of the driving lane, causing it to capsize on the clearing. The incident occurred around 8.30 am

Immediately, residents and other road users rescued the injured and reminded Ranipet Sipcot police and ambulance. The injured person received outpatient treatment (OP) at the Government Taluke Hospital in Willaha. The case has been registered. An investigation is underway.
