A 25-year-old motorist died in an accident Tuesday afternoon on Sustitra X Road in Medchal. The victim, Tapan Kumar Behra, is a native of Odisha, who works as a technology operator at CMC Limited.
According to Petbasheerabad police, Behra rode his two-wheeler from his residence in Balanagar and headed to Suchitra Junction around 2pm when an unidentified car hit him from the side.
The impact caused him to fall into a roadblock on the side of the road. The driver of the vehicle immediately fled the scene.
Police have registered a case and are working to use CCTV footage to track the suspect.
