MP Balram Naik calls for resistance to WAQF ACT

Warangal: On Monday, thousands of Muslims and community leaders marched from the MRO office to the main bus stance here, protesting the center’s proposed WAQF board law, accusing the BJP government of pursuing separatist politics.

The rally was led by Mahbubabad MP Porika Balram Naik and saw the participation of the government chief Dr. Jatoth Ramachandra Naik, MLA MLA Bhukya Murali Naik and DCC President Jennareddy Bharat Chandra Reddy.

At the party, Porika Balram Naik condemned the new WAQF law as “authoritarian” and was part of a broader agenda to “segment the state in the name of caste, religion and region.” He expressed support for Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s national “Desh Bachao, Modi Hatao” movement, calling it a defense of constitutional rights.

Naik cited Dr. Br Ambedkar’s vision for solidarity and equality, urging Muslim communities and allied forces to continue to exist until the controversial legislation is withdrawn. Protesters demanded the immediate repeal of the proposed WAQF regulations and reaffirmed their commitment to protecting their religious and civil rights.
