MP Gaurav Gogoi visited Pakistan invited by ISI and worked closely with institutions there: Himanta Biswa Sarma

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma claimed on Sunday that MP Gaurav Gogoi visited Pakistan at the invitation of his spy agency ISI, who worked closely with the establishment of neighbors. Sarma, speaking with reporters on the formal function here, asserted that the government had documented evidence to support the claim, “Each evidence will be presented before the public by September 10 after proper verification”.

CM claimed: “Gaurav Gogoi visited Pakistan at the invitation of ISI. This is the first time I said that. We have the same document. He did not do it for tourism purposes. He definitely went there for training.”

Sarma said Lok Sabha’s deputy leader went there to a direct invitation from the Pakistani government, “it was very dangerous”.
“…He works closely with Pakistani institutions. When will the Ministry of Home Affairs send an invitation? It’s just training.

Sarma asserted: “An invitation to foreign affairs (department) or any university is a completely different matter. This is not from the diplomatic or cultural department. He directly invited the invitation from the Ministry of Interior of Pakistan.”

The Chief Minister stressed that the government here has Gogoi’s action proof and there is no way to escape. He added: “All his roads are closed. We have seen evidence. It will only take us until September to get the paper. We have to submit the notice and then the embassy will provide us with the documents. September 10 is final, please ask this again until that time.”
