MP LIC manager dies in Pahalgam terrorist attack after Kalma test failure

Bhopal, April 23: A Life Insurance Company (LIC) official (LIC) from Indore, Madhya Pradesh and Raipur in Raipur in Chhattisgarh was one of 28 killed in a massacre of cold-blooded tourists in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday.
Sushil Nathaniel (58) was appointed branch manager of the LIC branch of Madhya Pradesh Alirajpur when terrorists rushed into the scene and sprayed bullets at them, visiting Pahalgam with his wife, daughter and son.
Officials say his daughter was also injured in the attack.
His family said the terrorists asked the officer to recite Kalma to determine whether he was a Muslim and then shot him to death when he failed to do so.
Officials said his daughter was taken to a hospital in the area, with his remains and son beside her.
“Mr. Sushil Nathaniel from Indore was killed in a terrorist attack in Pahalgam on Tuesday. His daughter was also injured in the incident. We are working to do anything best for her recovery. His mortal remains will be brought to his home on Wednesday night or Thursday.”
He said the country unites with family members of victims of terrorist attacks and will provide appropriate responses to the culprit and their planners in due time.
A businessman from Raipur, Dinesh Mirania, is also a businessman killed in the Pahalgam terrorist attack.
Chhattisgarh Finance Minister Op Choudhury said Mirania and his wife and children visited Pahalgam when terrorists attacked tourists.
The businessman was reportedly injured but later learned that he was killed in the attack.
Vishnu Deo Sai, Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, said: “Terrorism is the greatest threat to mankind and cannot be accepted in any form”.
Meanwhile, the Pahalgam incident caused anger from Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, and protests broke out in the two states.
People were seen burning Pakistan’s flag and shouting slogans to neighbors responsible for the attack.
