Bride passed away at Delhi amusement park misfortune

Police said a 24-year-old woman is about to get married soon and died after falling from a roller coaster-style swing at Fun and Food Village amusement park near the Kapashara border on Wednesday afternoon. The victim, Priyanka, sales manager from Chanakyapuri, visited the amusement park with his fiance Nikhil. The couple spent some time enjoying the rides before moving to the entertainment area and having a tragic accident.
According to witnesses, Priyanka was waving while in the movement. She reportedly fell several feet and suffered serious injuries. Park staff and tourists rushed to her aid and she was soon taken to a nearby hospital where she was declared dead on arrival.
Police have begun an investigation to determine whether the park authorities have had mechanical failure or negligence. “We are investigating whether safety protocols are properly followed and whether there are any errors in vehicle maintenance,” a senior police officer said.
Priyanka’s fiance Nikhil, who witnessed the accident, is said to be in shock. Police are recording his and other witnesses’ statements.
The amusement park has not issued an official statement, but similar rides have been suspended before a thorough inspection. The Delhi government authorities have also noticed the incident and are likely to conduct security audits at other amusement parks in the city.
The body has been sent for autopsy. Heartbreaking events have sparked renewed concerns about safety standards in public entertainment venues, especially during summers when the summer is high enough.
