Andhra Pradesh MSME, Minister of Rural Poverty Reduction and NRI Empowerment Kondapalli Srinivas has directed officials to ensure equal distribution of SERP (Eliminating Rural Poverty) personnel in all regions. At a review meeting held Monday at the SERP State Office, he observed differences in the level of staffing in the district and directed to allocate all Mandel and district staff on a proportional basis.
The Minister stressed that farmers’ producers organizations (FPOs) should be strengthened to enhance farmers’ income through training, high-quality inputs and value-added. He urged cooperation with agencies such as the Catalyst Management Service Center and other agencies to implement it effectively.
He also called for swift action under the rural entrepreneur program to support SHG members in establishing micro-enterprises. Monthly goals should be aligned with Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana goals. In addition, he suggested promoting seaweed cultivation through CSIR and the Ministry of Fisheries and establishing shadow nets and dohos for small farmers through horticulture support.
