Reliance Retail covers hyperlocal delivery, a less than 30-minute delivery that offers 4,000 PIN codes across the country through its existing network of stores.

Reliance Retail, Reliance Industries’ retail division, is expanding its business significantly and plans to open a dark store to expand coverage. The retail division of India’s most valuable company is led by Isha Ambani, daughter of Mukesh Ambani. It reported significant growth in fast commerce and hyperlocal delivery services in the March quarter. Reliance Retail said during a recent revenue call that its CFO Dinesh Taluja said the number of orders increased by more than 2.4 times.

Reliance Retail covers hyperlocal delivery through its existing network of stores, and below is a 30-minute delivery with 4,000 PIN codes available across the country, the network is much wider than any other fast business player in the country. Through its JIOMART application, Reliance Retail offers fast and planned delivery and currently has three types of services.

There is a 30-minute quick service, followed by booked delivery, wider classification, and then a subscription service where customers can subscribe, with items delivered at the door in the early hours of the morning. According to Taluja, Reliance Retail is using its store network to deliver within a radius of three kilometers as part of the strategy. Similarly, for the online fashion business AJIO, Reliance Retail has launched same-day and second-day delivery in 26 cities.

Reliance Retail Q4 Results

In the fiscal year 2024-25, Reliance Retail reported total revenue of Rs 3.30 trillion, up 7.85%, and after-tax profit increased by 11.33% to Rs 123.88 crore. Reliance Retail said the fiscal fourth-quarter profit rose 29% from a year ago as it expanded its store network and retail format. As of March 31, the quarter rose from Rs 2,746 crore in the young box office to Rs 3,545 crore in MNET profit for the quarter ended March 31. Consolidated revenue rose 16% to Rs 88,627 crore, from Rs 76,627 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
