Madhya Pradesh’s national highway network will be better than the U.S. national highway network in two years, Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari promised the state’s public on Thursday that he unveiled in Dhar, where he set up the foundation and laid the 10 nh project worth Rs 5,800 crore.

Mr Gadkari held an event in the Badnawar Area of the Dar region to open five projects worth Rs 3,502 crore, including the Badnawar-ujjain four-lane expressway built as part of the Bharatmala Project and laid the foundation for five additional projects worth €2,462 across the state. These 10 projects will add 328 kilometers to the state’s NH network.

“I want to assure the people of Madhya Pradesh in the Madhya Pradesh National Highway Network, Chief Minister, Minister and Members of Congress that this will be better than the United States,” Gadkari said at the event. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav and his cabinet colleagues such as Kailash Vijayavargiya and Rakesh Singh also attended the event.

“You will not have any complaints. The announcement I made will not be futile. I will deliver what I said at all costs.”

The union minister also said that infrastructure works worth Rs 3 lakh in the next year will be completed in Madhya Pradesh. “Madhya Pradesh is developing rapidly,” he said.

“We will complete infrastructure work worth Rs 3 lakh in a year [you] Poverty and hunger. ” he said.

Advocate of smart villages

Mr. Gadkari also advocates smart villages in smart cities.

“We have to build smart villages instead of smart cities, [where] The farmers became rich, every village had good roads, good schools, and the people of the village had access to clean drinking water, industry and employment and medical facilities. Farmers should get the right price for their crops. This is what the world is talking about. ” he said.

Gadkari said infrastructure development plays a crucial role in a country’s growth, recalling a quote from U.S. President John F. Kennedy: “The roads in the United States are not good because America is rich;

He added: “Where is water, electricity, transportation and transportation, industries and businesses are growing. Where industries and businesses grow, job creation. Where jobs are created. Where jobs, poverty, hunger and unemployment are not allowed to survive.”

Later in the evening, Mr. Gardkari also visited the Mahakaleshwar temple in Ujjain with Mr. Singh and Mr. Vijayvargiya.

In early 2018, then-Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, now the union minister, repeatedly said that the state’s roads were better than the United States. Prior to the state assembly elections that year, these claims sparked a war of writing between the BJP and Congress.
