Mumbai Airport appoints temporary ground treatment company

Mumbai Airport has appointed Indo Thai Airport Services as a temporary ground handling provider for three months a day after the government canceled security approval from Turkish company Celebi.
“India Thailand Airport Services will work with Mumbai International Airport Limited (MIAL) to provide the highest service designed to meet existing Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and conditions,” a spokesperson for the airport said in a statement.
It will also initiate the tender process within three days to onboard a long-term ground processing partner, which will end within three months.
It also added that the airport will also promote the transfer of existing terms and conditions of employment for all existing Celebi employees at the airport to the airport in Thailand. It said this will ensure there is no loss of employment and continue to provide services to airline partners.Celebi’s ground treatment equipment will also be leased to the Indian and Thai airports to ensure that services continue to be unaffected.
