Mumbai remains vigilant after Pahalgam terrorist attacks, patrol intensifies

Shiv Sena Ubt seeks the resignation of the Union’s interior minister Amit Shah after several tourists were killed on Tuesday (22 April 2025) following the terrorist attacks in Pahalgam.

At the same time, Mumbai is the country’s financial capital and is alert. Senior police sources told Hindus that patrols were intensified throughout the city, with surprise inspections conducted at midnight.

Mumbai, the capital of Maharashtra and the country’s financial capital, is wary of it. A senior official from Mumbai police told Hindus: “All areas are on alert. Patrols are underway. Surprise checks were conducted.”

The Maharashtra government is collated data on state tourists who are traveling to Pahargam for tourism. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis identified the two as Dilip Disle and Atul Mone from Maharashtra. Several other tourists in the state were injured, he said.

Manik Patel, Bhalchandra Rao, Simran Rupchandani were identified as among them. “A family from Nagpur appeared at the scene of the terrorist attack. They jumped from the mountain after listening to the gunshots. Simran Rupchandani was injured and broken. Tilak and Garv Rupchandani were with her. The three were safe,” said CM Fadnavis. ”

He also confirmed that a Pune couple was injured. “Pune’s Santosh Jagdale was shot dead in a cowardly terrorist attack in Kashmir and is undergoing treatment. His wife was reportedly injured as well. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis talked to his family over the phone to the family in Pune and assured them all possible help from the state government.”

Meanwhile, Aimim condemned the terrorist attack. “We strongly condemn the terrorist attacks in Pahalgam. Perpetrators should be punished the most severely. Terrorism has no religious beliefs. Even during the peak hours of terror, tourists have never been attacked. Why is this happening now?” Aimim leader Waris Pathan asked.
