Murshidabad: WAQF ACT protests violence, normal recovery of deployed forces

Security personnel, including BSF and CRPF, have been deployed in the region, and authorities say the situation is under control.
Locals tell of the chaos that occurred during the violence, which caused several stores and property to be damaged.
A shop owner talked to ANI and described the disaster: “My whole building was destroyed. All the glass was broken. The back of the building was weak – it had wooden windows and doors. They broke it and entered inside. They completely destroyed. They caused our items, even across from my building. Rs 135 for cash with me.
Another local shop owner, Adhir Ravi Das, shared his dilemma: “My store is completely damaged. There is nothing left. If the government helps, we will be able to open the business, otherwise nothing can be done. Materials worth Rs 6-7 crore are in the shops; everything is burned. We want peace. Because BSF is here, we don’t know, we don’t know what will happen. Whether anything will happen to us.
The owner Habib-ur-Rehman said the situation improved. “The situation in Samserganj is now normal. The government requires us to open stores and maintain discipline. Things have changed after the deployment of BSF and CRPF.”
