Raj Babbar, Arya Babbar and Juhi Babbar are not at the wedding of Prateik Babbar and Priya Banerjee.
Prateik Babbar and Priya Banerjee got married at a low-key ceremony held at their residence in Smita Patil, Mumbai on 14 February 2025. A small group of guests attended the wedding.
Raj Babbar, as well as Arya Babbar and Juhi Babbar, were not present. After social media speculation, Prateik clarified that he did not invite them. He said he chose to limit his wedding to individuals who share his direct connection with him.
When talking to Zoom, Prateik said: “My father’s wife (Nadira) and my mother (Smita Patil) had some complications in the past, and if you dug out 38-40 years ago, there were a lot of things in the media and similar things. I’m willing to do other functions with my father and his family.”
“I just think it’s unethical to have him and his family in that house after everything happened between them. It’s definitely not right. The right thing is what we do, and if obviously, things are different now, everything is getting southern and everything is getting very complicated, but it’s not for me. I’m still the same actor.”
Prateik further mentioned: “It’s not about rejecting anyone. It’s about respecting my mother and her desire… Sorry, my father and his wife can’t be there, can’t be in my house, my mother bought to grow up for me and live a life as a single mother. She wants to live with me in my house as a single mother.
“This is the best decision I made by my wife and I. It could be a very, very delicate situation, everything can be subtle. But people are impulsive, people make impulsive choices and say things out of impulsiveness, which is just offensive, and I think the bitterness still exists,” the actor concluded. ”
