Democrats in the U.S. Senate slammed Robert F. Kennedy Jr., secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) for cutting biomedical research and public health programs at a committee hearing. President Cassidy sought assurance that NIH would continue to study long-term competition. Kennedy replied that his own son was struggling with his long-term shared, saying: “ [Long] Covid’s office was cut by the White House executive order. But…everyone at NIH and the CDC is committed to this kind of research, and I can personally tell you that I will make sure they happen. ”
