Nagarjunasagar enough water: Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewage Treatment Commission

Hyderabad: Hyderabad Metropolitan Water and Sewer Commission (HMWSSB) officials asserted that there is enough water in Nagar Jona Sagar Reservoir, pointing out that the current water level is 517.5 feet, compared with 510 feet at the same time last year. Full storage capacity is 590 feet.

Officials said plans to deploy eight motor pumping have been put on hold as levels drop. “If there is a drop in the coming days, we will implement a pumping plan,” the Water Authority said, adding that the current levels are sufficient to meet the city’s drinking water needs.

The water level in the Godavari drinking water supply project also increased by 190 million cubic feet compared to last year. As a preventive step, the water plate is currently serving old pumps and has strengthened take-out to ensure vehicle movement and prepare for any supply issues.
