Police in Ladakh have exacerbated a 36-year-old woman from Nagpur who disappeared from the last village of one of Kargir’s last villages (LOC) on May 14.

Although her whereabouts are unknown, police said the woman attempted to cross Pakistan near the Amritsar border in Punjab in March. Officials said she was stopped by the Border Security Force (BSF).

Before she disappeared, the woman left her 15-year-old son in a hotel in Cargill.

The woman arrived in Kagil on May 9 and went to Handban Village in Kagil without a son.

A police officer said there was no information on whether the woman had crossed Pakistan to occupy Kashmir (POK). The woman worked as a nurse a few years ago. Her family in Nagpur was told that her son was detained by the Child Welfare Commission.

The hotel authorities informed police after the woman did not return from Hunderban Village, about 10 kilometers from Kagill town.

LOC is under the control of the military’s operations.
