Naidu ensures 100% government post quota to local tribes in the agency field

Vijayawada: Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu announced on Monday that the NDA coalition government is committed to providing a percentage of government work reservations to local tribal peoples in Andhra Pradesh institutional areas.

Chandrababu Naidu pointed out at the Secretariat’s review meeting with senior officials on tribal welfare that in 1986, the Telugu DESAM government had issued a review that provided 100% reservations to local tribal people in the institutional area.

With legal complications and the percentage of women bookings increased, the TD government released another third place in 2000, which helped 4,626 Adivasi become a government teacher in the field of agency. However, some people oppose third place. The Supreme Court revoked the sensation in 2020.

AP CM criticized the previous YSR Congressional regime for failing to file a proper review petition in the Supreme Court, resulting in a third strike.

Chandrababu Naidu recalled his poll promise to restore third place or provide benefits to tribal people in a similar way, so he asked officials to study how to overcome the legal barriers to providing reservations for Adivasi. In this regard, he directed officials to discuss with the tribal union.

Officials explained to the chief minister that there are three options for this issue. The first is to provide 100% reservation to local tribals in institutional areas, which have overwhelming tribal populations. The second is to provide reservations to local tribes based on their population. The third option is to be made by the Supreme Court’s decision and to offer reservations to Adivasi, although no more than 50%.

However, Chandrababu Naidu remains firm in ensuring that justice is provided by reviving the third place or by similar means to ensure the rights of tribal people in the institutional area.

The Chief Minister made it clear that, besides the special opportunity to improve their living standards, it is impossible to lose any opportunity to provide justice to the tribal people except for all facilities including government employment.
