Nanthancode murder sentenced on May 6

Thiruvananthapuram Other District and Conference Court VI will make a verdict in the sensational Nanthancode murder case on Tuesday.

The case involved defendants Cadell Jeansen Raja, who was tried for the murders of his parents, Raja Thankam and Jean Padma, Jean Padma, Caroline Sister Caroline and Lalitha, at home in the Baines compound in Nanthancode in April 2017.

The prosecutor's case depends largely on forensic evidence, including the discovery of the victim's blood on the defendant's clothing and forensic reports. During the trial, the defendant's mental state was also a concern. The defense claims that the defendant is mentally ill, and the prosecutor insists that mentally ill patients cannot commit such crimes in an organized manner.
