Officials said Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reviewed preparations for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s proposed visit to Kanpur on April 24. They said Adityanath inspected the thermal project factory after landing in Ghatampur and provided the relevant officials with the necessary instructions on the project.
The total production capacity of the power plant is 3 x 660 MW, while the first unit of the inauguration is 660 MW.
They said the total cost of the project was Rs 2178 crore, while the first unit of the inauguration cost Rs 933768 crore.
The Chief Minister later went to the newly built Nayaganj Metro Station, which also traveled from Nayaganj to Rawatpur Station from Metro. He also inspected the venue of Chandrashekhar Azad (CSA) University, where PM Modi will hold a public meeting.
Police Commissioner Akhil Kumar gave a detailed speech to the chief minister on security arrangements for VVIP access, an official said.
