The Delhi court in Delhi on Thursday (May 8, 2025) postponed a hearing in the National Herald Reporting Case involving Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi to May 21-22, 2025.
Special Judge Vishal Gogne said after hearing the submission from the Law Enforcement Bureau (ED) that the notice of Sam Pitroda, who was notified of the co-defendant, was emailed on Thursday (May 8, 2025), so debates about the charge sheet can be heard on the next date.
The court also decided to hear the ED position first when Case’s complainant and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Subramanian Swamy sought a copy of the ED fee form.
On May 2, the court issued a notice to former Congress President Sonia Gandhi and the Opposition Leader (LOP). It also issued notices to Congress leaders Pitroda and Suman Dubey, as well as the “Young Indians” (Dotex Merchandise Private Limited and Sunil Bhandari).
The judge said their “right to be heard” was obtained when the form was recognized. The judge said in his post on May 8, 2025: “Any stage of life can be heard at any stage.”
The expenses in this matter are under Articles 3 (Money Laundering) and Article 4 (Punishment for Money Laundering) Act (PMLA).
The emergency room that recently filed the fee form began its investigation in 2021 after the Magistrates’ Court recognized a private complaint filed by Mr. Swami on 26 June 2014.
