An industrial fire in the suburb of Bromley, Christchurch, required about 35 firefighters and eight appliances to control it. Smoke can be seen throughout the city. Residents are advised to close doors and windows. Additionally, controlled combustion near Bottle Lake Forest Park caused smoke in the north and north of Christchurch due to weather conditions.
