The Drug Control Bureau (NCB) seized 50 suspicious LSD blots from a foreign post office (FPO) on March 29.
Since then, three people, including Dutch nationals, have been arrested in the case. It is reported that the courier is from Mexico and intends to be in Kochi.
NCB officials organized a controlled parcel to make arrests in Kadavanthra’s apartment building during a secret operation on April 3, the NCB said in a statement.
Law enforcement agencies suspect international drug trafficking groups’ involvement and potential links in multiple countries. The statement added that an investigation is being conducted to track domestic and international links involved in the network.
The NCB claims it reached 17 convictions in just 15 days in six NDP cases in Assam, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Jharkhand, Kerala and Tamil Nadu.
