New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Monday that the policies his administration is developing will impact the future of the next 1,000 years. Mr. Modi addressed the civil servants here on Vigyan Bhavan’s 17th Civil Service Day, citing the principle of “Nagrik Devo Bhava” (citizens are like God), comparing it to the spiritual sympathy of “atithi devo devo bhava.”
He said the past 10-11 years of success have laid a solid foundation for a developed India. “The policies we are developing today, the decisions we are making, will shape the future for a thousand years,” the Prime Minister said.
He said that to quote ancient scriptures, just like a chariot cannot move in a single wheel, success cannot be achieved through fate without effort. Emphasizing the importance of collective efforts and determination in achieving the goals of a developed India, he urged everyone to work tirelessly every day and every moment to achieve this shared vision.
He noted the rapid changes taking place around the world, highlighting that India’s bureaucracy, work processes and decision-making cannot operate on an outdated framework.
Mr Modi said that the aspirations of Indian society, youth, farmers and women, and their dreams have reached unprecedented heights and stressed the need for extraordinary speed to achieve these wishes.
The Prime Minister outlined India’s ambitious goals in the coming years, including energy security, clean energy, advances in sports and achievements in space exploration, highlighting the importance of holding the Indian flag high in each sector.
He stressed the enormous responsibility for civil servants to ensure that India is the world’s third largest economy at the earliest, and he urged them to prevent any delays in achieving this critical goal.
Mr. Modi stressed that happiness was expressed on the theme of “India’s overall development” on this year’s official business day, which is not only a theme, but also a commitment and commitment to the people of the country.
“The overall development of India means ensuring there are no villages, no families and no citizens left,” he said, adding that real progress is not a small change, but a full impact.
He stressed that the quality of governance is not determined simply by the initiation of plans, but by the in-depth reach of these plans to the people and their real impact. The Prime Minister pointed out that significant progress has been made from increasing school attendance to adoption of solar energy, with significant impacts on areas such as Rajkot, Gomati, Tinsukia, Koraput and Kupwara.
PM stressed that India has gone from gradual change to influential transformation over the past decade, stressing that the country’s governance model is now focused on “next generation reform”, leveraging technology and innovative practices to bridge the gap between government and citizens.
Mr Modi said, emphasizing the achievements of India over the past decade, the transformational change and the new heights of the country’s achievements, saying: “India is now recognized not only for its growth, but also for setting new benchmarks in governance, transparency and innovation.”
Mr Modi said that in the past 11 years, the efforts to eliminate delays, introduce new processes and reduce turnover time over the past 11 years have been mentioned, and Mr Modi said more than 40,000 appropriate provisions have been removed and more than 3,400 legal provisions have been legalized to promote business ease.
However, recalling the resistance faced during these reforms, critics questioned the need for such changes, PM stressed that the government did not succumb to pressure and asserted that “new approaches are crucial to achieving new results.”
The Prime Minister reflects on the past role of bureaucracy as a regulator controlling industrialization and entrepreneurship, and PM stresses that the state has gone beyond this mentality and is now promoting an environment that promotes citizen enterprises and helps them overcome obstacles.
The Prime Minister congratulated the regions and individuals associated with these initiatives, acknowledging their outstanding work and the awards received by several regions. He also awarded the Prime Minister an award for excellence in public administration. This year, the Prime Minister presented 16 awards to civil servants.
