Neeraj Chopra finally violated the 90m mark, but ranked second in the Doha DL

Doha: Neeraj Chopra finally hit the elusive 90m mark with a 90.23m shot, but on Friday the Doha leg of the famous Diamond League Meeting series, second only to Germany’s Julian Webber in a dramatic men’s javelin match.

Webber turned the table around and ranked first with his last ball, with a size of 91.06m.

The 27-year-old double Olympic medalist Indian sent 90.23 million spears to his third-time javelin thrower list, led by his current coach, Jan Zelezny of Czechia, who recorded more than 90 million efforts.

He became the third place in Asia and 25th place to achieve this feat.

Pakistan’s Olympic champion Arshad Nadeem (9297m) and China’s Taipei Chao-Tsun Cheng (91.36m) are two other Asians who violate the coveted mark.
