Pahalgam terrorist attack: Several tourists injured in Anantnag areas in Jamu and Kashmir

The alleged terrorists opened fire on a group of tourists at a tourist hotspot in Pahalgam in the Anantnag district of southern South Kashmir on Tuesday (April 22, 2025).

Preliminary reports indicate that police received a call from a female tourist in distress from the Baisaran forest in Pahalgam. She told the gunman targeted hikers in the area.

Officials said several tourists were injured in the attack. Security forces were rushed to the scene.

“My husband was shot and seven others were injured,” a female survivor told pti By phone. The woman herself did not agree, but asked to evacuate the injured hospital.
