Nellol: Amarajeevi Potti Sriramulu has a great reverence under Aegis of the Potti Sriramulu Memorial Trust, SBS Kalyana Mandapam in Pappulaveedhi.
Urban Development Minister P. Narayana served as the chief guest, providing flower tributes to the statue of Potti Sriramulu and to the Arya Vysya community members and TD leaders. The local trade association is respected for the minister’s contribution.
Narayana called Sriramulu the real Gandhian, a symbol of sacrifice, and he went on a 58-day hunger strike to demand a separate Telugu-speaking country and laid life for the cause. The minister said he also fought for the entry of the Dalit Temple, a hero that all generations must remember.
He announced that the government has announced the celebration of the birth year of Sriramulu from March 16, 2025 to March 16, 2026.
