The report said that Maggie Gyllenhaal’s daughter Ramona was arrested this week during violent anti-Israel protests at Columbia University.
The star’s daughter, shared with actor Peter Sarsgaard, is a New York Academy student who has been hit by a wave of protests in recent months.

Ramona was reportedly one of nearly 100 protesters who attacked Columbia’s Butler Library as their classmates prepared for their final exams.
The group declared the library a “liberated zone” and renamed it to the “Basel Alay University” after Israel accused Palestinian militants who planned a full-scale attack.
School officials said sit-ins became chaotic due to injuries to several school security personnel, and so far, at least 65 student agitators have been suspended.
It is not clear whether Ramona was one of the people suspended after melee battles, but many protesters were trapped in Colombia and would not let them go without showing their identity.
Ramona reports that although mother (most notably the star of the Dark Knight) and A-class soldier Jake Gyllenhaal were open to both Jewish beliefs and legacy in the past.
