Padmanabha Reddy writes to Revanth Reddy not to promote officials in ACB case

Hyderabad: M. Padmanabha Reddy, chairman of the Good Governance Forum, wrote to Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Tuesday to seek an instruction not to promote officials mentioned in the ACB case. He said departments such as taxes, municipal, police, business taxes and excise taxes are high on the list.
Padmanabha Reddy said corruption was rampant in the state government and claimed that people must be bribed for every job that they meet their rights.
Several employees working in the Commercial Tax Department have landed in the ACB but received a court order and were promoted.
He cited the so-called DCTO G. Srinivas case, which he booked by ACB in 2013 and was promoted to the High Court without mentioning criminal cases heard by ACB courts (WP No. 7046, 2025). The judge passed an interim order to consider his case.
The forum chair also appointed Dcto d Srinivas Reddy, whose ACB case investigation has not been completed for seven years. The official has been promoted to the High Court without mentioning FIR/RCT No. 04 – ACB-NZB/2018
Padmanabha Reddy claims that in another case, business tax official K. Geeta, allegedly indulged in serious violations, levying a charge against her. He said the case has not yet been terminated, noting that she has been promoted to the High Court (WP No. 7066 in 2025) without reference to the published disciplinary proceedings.
