New Economic Advisor at Maharashtra CM says it will not interfere with the finance department

Retired IAS officials were appointed to the newly created position last week. He has led the government think tank Maharashtra Institute for Transformation (Mitra). When asked about the conversation, he would eventually interfere in Ajit Pawar’s territory, Pardeshi said that this was not the case.
“This is not a parallel system, but I will be in the consulting role of the finance department,” he told Marathi News.
He said that because regional development is very important to achieve the goal of turning Maharashtra into a trillion-dollar economy by 2028-29, regional strategic plans are being formulated. “By 2028-29, every region needs to become a growth center to achieve a $1 trillion economy. Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that every region needs to be a growth center, but so far there are no statistics available for GDP,” Pardeshi added.
